Overview

Recipe Converter Pro is a free, browser-based tool. We built it to be as private as possible by design: no accounts, no login, no tracking pixels, and no data sent to our servers. Your recipes stay on your device.

What data we collect

We do not collect personal data. Specifically:

  • We do not ask for your name, email, or any account information.
  • Recipe text you enter is processed entirely in your browser and is never sent to a server.
  • Conversion history is stored in your browser's localStorage and is never transmitted.
  • Share links are encoded in the URL fragment (#…), which browsers do not send to servers.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used — page views, session duration, and general usage patterns. Google Analytics collects anonymized data including your approximate location (country/city), browser type, and device type. This data is processed by Google and subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

Google Analytics may set cookies in your browser. We do not use advertising cookies, remarketing, or cross-site tracking. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Third-party services

The site is hosted on a standard web host and served over HTTPS. Web server access logs (IP address, browser user-agent, requested URL, timestamp) may be retained for a short period for security and infrastructure purposes. We do not sell or share this data.

Local storage

Recipe Converter Pro saves your theme preference and conversion history to localStorage in your browser. This data never leaves your device. You can clear it at any time via your browser's developer tools or by clicking "Clear history" inside the app.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
