Why we built this

Scaling a recipe should take three seconds. Instead, most people end up with a calculator in one hand and a recipe in the other, computing each ingredient individually. Existing tools were either buried in ads, required an account, or just didn't handle real-world recipe formats well.

We built Recipe Converter Pro to be the tool we actually wanted to use: fast, clean, private, and smart enough to handle the messy ingredient lists that real recipes contain — fractions, mixed units, notes in parentheses, and all.

What it does

• Recipe scaling — multiply or divide any recipe by a custom factor, or enter original and target serving counts and let the tool calculate the ratio.
• Unit conversion — switch between US Imperial and Metric with one click. A built-in density database converts volume to weight for common baking ingredients.
• Baking hints — contextual alerts when your scale factor is known to cause issues with leavening, yeast, or bake time.
• Shopping list — scaled ingredients grouped into produce, dairy, pantry, and other categories, with checkboxes for the shop.
• Share and print — copy a scaled recipe as plain text, generate a share link, or print directly from the browser.

Privacy first

Everything runs in your browser. Recipe text is never sent to a server. History is stored locally in localStorage. No account required. No cookies used for tracking. Read our full privacy policy.
